The Varta V13GA (LR44) 1.5V alkaline button cell delivers dependable, compact power for precision electronics. Perfect for watches, calculators, laser pointers, small toys, thermometers and other low-drain devices, this Varta LR44 replacement provides stable voltage, long shelf life and leak-resistant performance that keeps your essential devices running when you need them most.

Key Benefits

  • Reliable 1.5V output for consistent performance in small electronics
  • Long shelf life and stable voltage retention for standby devices
  • Compact button-cell size ideal for watches, calculators, toys and medical devices
  • Leak-resistant construction and modern alkaline chemistry (mercury-free)
  • Widely compatible with common equivalents (AG13, A76, LR44)
Ingredients and Materials

This Varta V13GA (LR44) is an alkaline button cell using zinc and manganese dioxide chemistry in a sealed steel casing. Typical specifications: 1.5V nominal voltage; diameter ~11.6 mm; height ~5.4 mm; capacity approximately 110–150 mAh depending on load. Modern Varta alkaline cells are manufactured mercury-free and meet common safety and RoHS requirements. Note: SR44/357 are silver-oxide equivalents with slightly different performance characteristics—always check your device's recommended battery type.

How to Use

1. Check your device manual for the correct battery type (V13GA / LR44 / AG13 / A76).
2. Insert with correct polarity: the positive (+) side is usually the flat face; ensure alignment as marked in your device.
3. Replace all batteries at the same time; do not mix new and old cells.
4. If a device shows low performance, remove batteries to avoid leakage damage. Do not attempt to recharge alkaline button cells.

Who It’s For

Ideal for watch owners, students (calculators), hobbyists, technicians, parents replacing toy batteries, medical device users (thermometers, glucometers—check device compatibility), photographers (camera flashes, remotes) and anyone who needs a compact, reliable 1.5V button cell for small electronics.

Caution & Storage

Keep batteries out of reach of children and pets. Button cells are a serious ingestion hazard—if swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. Store in original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight. Do not recharge, disassemble, short-circuit, puncture or incinerate. Dispose of used batteries at approved recycling or collection points; follow local regulations for battery disposal. Avoid mixing battery chemistries or new and used cells.
