Medford ViralScript 60 Veggie Capsules
What is Medford ViralScript?
upports the IMMUNE SYSTEM and helps the body overcome COLD and FLU symptoms.
With all the incredible advances in modern medicine, we still have no cure for the common cold, the flu, and many other common viral infections. We are also exposed to various microbes on a daily basis, and our immune systems are being challenged.
Maintaining a healthy immune system, now more than ever, remains our best defence to counteract infection and regulate appropriate immune responses.
The immune system can be strengthened not only through a variety of healthy lifestyle choices, but also with the use of appropriate vitamins, minerals, and herbs which have immune enhancing properties.
ViralScript combines these nutrients into a powerful synergistic formula, designed for daily preventive use and can also be used as a “booster” to support the immune system during infection, to prevent viral replication, reduce inflammation and congestion, and to help loosen and expel excessive mucous.
Indications:
- Supports a healthy immune system.
- Prevention of the common cold.
- Upper respiratory tract infection.
- Helps reduce mucous congestion on the chest.
- Forms part of both an immune prophylactic and treatment protocol.
Fortify immune response during infection with three proven herbs
Andrographis (Andrographis paniculata) is an Indian herb used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine. It has a favourable effect on the immune system and reduces the symptoms of most types of upper respiratory tract infections, mainly due to the immuno-stimulatory activity of the andrographolide constituent.
Andrographis has been shown to be beneficial in the support of bacterial and viral upper respiratory tract infections, by reducing the duration and severity of symptoms. In addition it has been shown to significantly reduce the symptoms of sinusitis, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis.
Echinacea is well known for its immune modulating and enhancing properties and can help support the treatment of infections in general, but especially upper respiratory tract infections and even sinusitis.
Echinacea enhances numerous aspects of the immune system such as increasing the number of circulating macrophages, activating natural killer cells (lymphocytes) and increasing the production of T-lymphocytes. Echinacea also supports lymphatic drainage during infections.
Elderberry prevents the replication of all certain influenza viruses, due to the lectin content of elderberry, which inhibits the viral neuraminidase enzyme, thereby inhibiting the ability of influenza viruses to enter cells and replicate. Elderberry also assists as a decongestant.
Support for mucous drainage
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is the stable form of cysteine, an amino acid commonly found in food. It has mucolytic properties to loosen and liquefy mucous in the respiratory tract. NAC acts to reduce mucous viscosity by splitting disulfide bonds linking proteins present in the mucous (mucoproteins).
Key immune regulating nutrients with the most clinical evidence
Zinc plays a critical role in the immune system and zinc-deficient people are more susceptible to a variety of viruses and bacteria. Zinc is involved in various aspects of the immune system, from keeping viruses from penetrating the barrier of the skin to assisting in the normal development of natural killer cells. All types of lymphocytes require zinc for their production plus, zinc is also a powerful antioxidant.
Vitamin C concentrations in the plasma and in white blood cells known as leukocytes rapidly decline during infections and stress and thus need to be replenished.
Supplementation with vitamin C has been found to improve components of the human immune system such as antimicrobial and natural killer cell activities.
