- Durable, wipe-clean surface for hygienic re-use in clinical or home settings
Ingredients and Materials
High-grade malleable aluminium core (anodised for corrosion resistance), closed-cell foam padding for patient comfort, soft non-woven lining to reduce skin irritation, perforated outer for airflow, and an adjustable hook-and-loop strap for secure fixation. Materials chosen for durability, light weight and easy cleaning.
How to Use
- Measure the injured finger and confirm the splint covers the injured joint(s). The 45cm length can be trimmed by a clinician to suit the injury.
- Mould the aluminium core gently around the finger to achieve immobilisation; avoid sharp bends.
- Place padding/soft dressing over any open wound before applying the splint. Secure with the hook-and-loop strap ensuring snug but not constrictive fit.
- Check circulation after application — finger should not feel numb or change colour. Re-adjust if circulation is impaired.
- Clean by wiping with a damp cloth and mild detergent; do not soak. Remove prior to MRI or other procedures as directed by a clinician.
