Intended for use by trained healthcare professionals or caregivers following clinical protocols. General steps:

1. Perform hand hygiene and don appropriate PPE.
2. Prepare suction unit and set suction pressure per facility guidelines (adult/pediatric settings vary).
3. Open sterile package and attach the catheter to suction tubing using the universal connector.
4. Without applying suction, gently insert catheter to the required depth; apply intermittent suction while withdrawing in a rotating motion.
5. Limit each suction pass to recommended duration (commonly <10–15 seconds) and allow patient to recover between passes.
6. Discard catheter after single use. Follow facility infection control and waste disposal protocols.
