Solventum Actisorb Silver 220 Activated Charcoal Dressing 10.5 x 19cm MAS190 is an activated charcoal wound dressing with silver for wound odour control.

Product Features and Materials

The charcoal and silver are enclosed in a non-adherent nylon sleeve.

How to Use
  • Prepare the wound using the wound-care protocol recommended by your clinician.
  • Wash your hands before and after application. Wear gloves if your clinician recommends them.
  • Select a dressing slightly larger than the wound, as directed by your clinician.
  • If needed, fold the dressing to fit the wound shape. Do not cut it.
  • Either side may face the wound. Place it directly against the wound bed.
  • Cover it with a secondary dressing and secure it as directed by your clinician.
  • Change the secondary absorbent dressing as needed.
  • The dressing can stay in place for up to 7 days, depending on drainage. Your clinician may advise changing it every 24 hours at first. If no removal schedule has been given, replace it at least every 7 days.
  • Remove the secondary dressing before replacing the Actisorb dressing. Remove and discard the Actisorb dressing by day 7, or earlier if directed by your clinician. Ask your healthcare provider about disposal.
Caution & Storage
  • Do not use on third-degree burns.
  • Do not use if you have a known sensitivity to silver.
  • For external use only.
  • Single use only. Do not reuse.
  • Do not cut the dressing. Released particles may enter the wound and cause discolouration.
  • Use under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Consult a clinician and read the instructions for use before applying the dressing. These self-care directions do not replace the instructions for use.
