Solventum Actisorb Activated Charcoal Silver 220 Dressing 10.5 x 10.5cm 1 Unit MAS105 is a sterile activated charcoal dressing with silver for wound odour control. It traps odour and bacteria within the dressing, where silver provides antimicrobial activity.

Ingredients

activated charcoal and silver. The outer sleeve is non-adherent nylon.

How to Use
  • Prepare the wound using the wound-care method advised by your clinician. Wash your hands before and after application, and wear gloves if your clinician recommends them.
  • Choose a dressing slightly larger than the wound, as advised by your clinician.
  • Remove the dressing from its protective packaging. If needed, fold it to fit the wound shape without cutting it.
  • Place either side against the wound. Direct contact with the wound bed makes full use of the dressing's properties.
  • Cover and secure it with a secondary dressing as advised by your clinician.
  • Change the secondary absorbent dressing when needed.
  • Your clinician may recommend changing the Actisorb dressing every 24 hours initially. It may remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on drainage, but must be changed at least every 7 days or sooner if advised.
  • Remove and discard the used dressing. Ask your healthcare provider how to dispose of it.
Caution & Storage
  • Do not use on third-degree burns.
  • Do not use if you have a known sensitivity to silver or another dressing component.
  • For external use only.
  • Single use only. Do not reuse.
  • Do not cut the dressing. Released particles may enter the wound and cause discolouration.
  • Consult a clinician before application. Self-care should be guided by a healthcare professional.
  • Wound infection requires clinical assessment and treatment of the underlying cause.
  • Do not use if the sterile packaging is damaged or the dressing has expired.
  • Store in a clean, dry place.
