Solventum 3M Actisorb Silver 220 Dressing 6.5 x 9.5cm 1 Unit MAS065 is an activated charcoal dressing with silver for wound odour control under professional guidance. It also helps manage wound drainage when combined with an appropriate secondary dressing.

Ingredients

The dressing contains activated charcoal and silver, its sleeve is nylon.

How to Use
  • Prepare the wound using the wound-care procedure recommended by your clinician.
  • Wash your hands before and after application. Wear gloves if your clinician directs you to do so.
  • Choose a dressing slightly larger than the wound, as advised by your clinician.
  • Remove the dressing from its protective packaging. If needed, fold it to fit the wound shape, but do not cut it.
  • Place either side against the wound. Direct contact with the wound bed allows the dressing to work most effectively.
  • Cover and secure it with an appropriate secondary dressing, as directed by your clinician.
  • The dressing may remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on drainage. Your clinician may recommend changing it every 24 hours initially. If no other removal schedule is given, replace it at least every 7 days.
  • Change the secondary absorbent dressing as needed. When replacing the charcoal dressing, remove it from the wound and discard it.
Caution & Storage
  • Do not use on third-degree burns.
  • Do not use if you have a known sensitivity to silver or another dressing component.
  • For external use only.
  • Single use only. Do not reuse.
  • Do not cut the dressing. Loose particles may enter the wound and cause discolouration.
  • Consult a clinician and read the product instructions for use before application. Self-care should be guided by a healthcare professional.
  • Wound infection requires clinical assessment and treatment of its underlying cause.
  • Do not use if the sterile packaging is damaged or the dressing has expired.
  • Store in a clean, dry place.
