Smith & Nephew Allevyn Non-Adhesive 10 x 10cm 1 Unit
Smith & Nephew Allevyn Non-Adhesive 10 x 10cm - Foam Dressing for Exuding Wounds
Smith & Nephew Allevyn Non-Adhesive 10 x 10cm is a high-performance hydrocellular foam dressing engineered to manage moderate to heavily exuding wounds. This sterile, single-use, non-adhesive foam dressing absorbs and retains exudate, maintains a moist wound environment and provides atraumatic removal to reduce pain at dressing changes. Ideal for chronic wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, post‑operative and traumatic wounds in clinical and community care.
Key Benefits
- High absorbency: Hydrocellular foam core captures and retains exudate to reduce leakage and maceration.
- Atraumatic, non-adhesive contact: Protects fragile tissue and reduces pain during removal.
- Promotes moist wound healing: Maintains optimal moisture balance to support re-epithelialisation.
- Breathable, protective outer film: Allows vapor exchange while providing a barrier to contaminants.
- Flexible and conformable: Adapts to body contours for improved patient comfort and fit.
- Longer wear time: Effective exudate handling can reduce dressing change frequency and cost of care.
Ingredients and Materials
Composition: Hydrophilic polyurethane foam (hydrocellular foam) core with a non-adherent wound contact layer and a breathable, water-resistant outer film. Sterile, single-use dressing designed without an adhesive wound contact layer (non-adhesive) to minimise trauma.
How to Use
- Cleanse and prepare the wound site according to local clinical guidance.
- Select the appropriate dressing size ensuring full wound coverage plus a small margin of intact skin.
- Apply the dressing with the non-adhesive surface in contact with the wound bed.
- Secure with secondary fixation (tape or bandage) if required.
- Change the dressing as directed by a healthcare professional or when saturated; monitor for signs of infection or increased exudate.
Who It’s For
Suitable for adults and children with moderate to heavily exuding acute or chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, donor sites, post-operative and traumatic wounds. Designed for use in hospitals, clinics and community care settings under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Caution & Storage
Single-use, sterile product — do not re-use or re-sterilize. Do not use if packaging is damaged or seal is broken. If increased pain, redness, swelling, or malodour occurs, seek medical advice as these may indicate infection. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Dispose of used dressings in accordance with local clinical waste regulations.
