Opsite Incise Drape 4987 — 300 x 280 mm (1 Unit)

Opsite Incise Drape 4987 by Smith & Nephew is a sterile, transparent adhesive incise drape designed to provide a secure, fluid-repellent, and low-lint barrier at the incision site. Sized 300 x 280 mm for versatility in general and specialty surgery, this single-use drape conforms to skin contours and supports infection-control protocols in operating theatres and minor procedure rooms.

Key benefits

  • Sterile adhesive incise drape for reliable microbial barrier at the incision site
  • Transparent polyurethane film for continuous visualisation of the surgical field
  • Conforms to skin contours and maintains secure adhesion during procedures
  • Fluid-repellent surface reduces strike-through and helps maintain a dry field
  • Low-lint, single-use design minimises particulate contamination
  • Latex-free and hypoallergenic adhesive suitable for most patients
Ingredients and Materials

Opsite Incise Drape 4987 is manufactured from a thin, transparent polyurethane film with a medical-grade, hypoallergenic acrylic adhesive. The product is sterile and single-use. Materials: polyurethane film backing, acrylic adhesive, paper release liner. Latex-free. No antiseptic impregnation is included in this product (non-iodinated).

How to Use
  1. Perform standard preoperative skin preparation and ensure skin is fully dry.
  2. Open the sterile pouch using aseptic technique and remove the drape.
  3. Peel back the release liner, position the drape so the central film covers the intended incision area and the adhesive frame contacts intact skin.
  4. Smooth the drape from the centre outward to ensure full adhesion and eliminate wrinkles; avoid stretching excessively.
  5. Proceed with incision through the film if required, following local surgical protocol.
  6. After the procedure, remove and dispose of the drape as clinical waste; do not reuse.
Who Its For

Designed for use by surgeons, operating room staff, and clinicians in hospitals, ambulatory surgery centres, and procedure rooms. Suitable for general surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, plastics, and minor surgical procedures where a sterile, adherent incise barrier is required.

Caution & Storage

Caution: For single use only. Do not use if the packaging is damaged or sterile barrier is compromised. Inspect skin for sensitivity to adhesive—discontinue use if irritation occurs. Not impregnated with antiseptic; combine with appropriate skin antisepsis per local protocol. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Recommended storage temperature: 5 C to 25 C (41 F to 77 F). Do not reuse. Dispose of according to clinical waste regulations.
