Mr First Aid Rescue Blanket Adult 1 Unit
Mr First Aid Rescue Blanket Adult – Emergency Thermal Blanket
Stay prepared for roadside emergencies, outdoor adventures and first aid situations with the Mr First Aid Rescue Blanket (Adult). This lightweight, compact emergency blanket is designed to reflect body heat, reduce heat loss and provide a waterproof, windproof barrier to help prevent hypothermia after injury or exposure. Ideal for first aid kits, EMT packs, hikers and motorists.
Key Benefits
- Reflective thermal insulation retains body heat and helps prevent hypothermia
- Lightweight & compact – fits easily in first aid kits, glove boxes and backpacks
- Waterproof and windproof protection in wet or windy conditions
- Durable metallised film resists tearing and provides multi-purpose emergency use
- Versatile – use as a body wrap, shelter liner, ground sheet or signalling aid
Ingredients and Materials
Manufactured from metallised polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, commonly known as Mylar or aluminised film. The blanket is a thin, heat-reflective foil with a metallised coating that reflects up to 90% of radiant body heat. Materials are water-resistant, windproof and designed for emergency thermal retention.
How to Use
- Remove the folded blanket from its pouch and carefully unfold.
- Wrap the blanket around the person so the reflective (shiny) side faces inward toward the body to reflect heat back.
- Ensure the blanket covers the torso and head where possible, leaving the face clear for breathing.
- Secure edges with tape or clips if available to reduce heat loss from wind.
- Also usable as a groundsheet, shelter cover or signalling mirror (shiny side).
Who It’s For
Designed for adults and included in first aid kits for road safety, workplaces, outdoor recreation and emergency response. Recommended for hikers, campers, cyclists, motorists, event first aid stations, search & rescue teams, and any household emergency kit.
Caution & Storage
Not a substitute for professional medical treatment. Keep away from open flames and high heat sources — the metallised film can melt or ignite. Avoid sharp objects that can puncture the film. Store in a cool, dry place in its pouch to maintain compactness. Single-use recommended if heavily soiled or damaged; otherwise can be reused if intact. Dispose of responsibly; check local recycling guidance for metallised films.
