Mission Hb Hemoglobin Test System is a professional point-of-care system for the quantitative measurement of haemoglobin and calculated haematocrit in capillary or venous whole blood.

The ACON system uses reflectance photometry, requires a 10 µl specimen and provides results in under 15 seconds. The uploaded barcode matches the Mission Hb system, but kit contents should be confirmed because ACON supplies more than one ordering configuration.

Key Benefits

  • Measures haemoglobin and calculates haematocrit
  • Results in under 15 seconds from a 10 µl whole-blood specimen
  • Measurement range of 4.0–25.6 g/dl for haemoglobin and 13–75% for haematocrit
  • Stores up to 1,000 results with date, time and identification data
  • Mini-USB data transfer and battery or optional adaptor operation
Key Specifications

Method: reflectance photometry. Specimen: capillary or venous whole blood. Memory: up to 1,000 tests. Power: three AAA batteries or a compatible AC adaptor. Use only Mission Hb test strips and the code chip supplied with the strip lot.

Pack Contents

ACON lists different Mission Hb system configurations. Depending on the catalogue number, the pack may contain the meter, manual and selected accessories or starter strips. Confirm the sealed kit contents before supply.

Professional Use

For in vitro diagnostic and professional use. Trained personnel should follow the current user manual, quality-control procedure and local point-of-care testing requirements.

Result Interpretation

A haemoglobin or calculated haematocrit result must be interpreted with the patient’s clinical context and the device limitations. Unexpected or inconsistent results should be checked according to the quality-control procedure and discussed with a healthcare professional.
