Jelco IV Catheter Radiopaque 24G – Yellow (50 Pack)

Jelco radiopaque 24G IV catheters (yellow) deliver dependable peripheral IV access for hospitals, clinics and out-of-hospital care. Each sterile, single-use cannula is engineered for smooth insertion, x-ray visibility and reliable infusion therapy — supplied in a convenient 50 pack for clinical efficiency.

Key Benefits

  • Radiopaque catheter material for clear x-ray detection and accurate placement verification.
  • 24G (yellow) size suitable for pediatric, geriatric and difficult-vein access where small-gauge infusion is required.
  • Sterile, single-use design reduces infection risk and supports aseptic technique.
  • Polyurethane (soft, flexible) catheter offers reduced vessel trauma and improved patient comfort.
  • Clear flashback chamber and ergonomic hub for easier insertion and secure handling by clinicians and nurses.
  • Economical 50-pack packaging for busy wards, emergency departments and outpatient clinics.
Ingredients and Materials

Typical construction: stainless steel introducer needle, radiopaque polyurethane catheter (x-ray visible), polypropylene hub and clear flashback chamber. All components are latex-free and provided sterile (ethylene oxide) in single-use packaging. Designed for peripheral intravenous therapy, infusion, sampling and contrast localization when small-gauge access is indicated.

How to Use

Use aseptic technique. Prepare patient and site, apply tourniquet, cleanse skin and allow to dry. Stabilize vein, insert introducer needle/cannula at appropriate angle until blood flashback is observed, advance catheter into vein and withdraw needle. Confirm patency, secure catheter with dressing and connect infusion set as required. Dispose of needle in approved sharps container. Follow institutional protocols for IV insertion, maintenance and catheter securement.

Who It’s For

Intended for healthcare professionals: nurses, emergency clinicians, paramedics and phlebotomists requiring reliable peripheral IV access. Ideal for pediatrics, geriatrics and patients with small or fragile veins where a 24G catheter provides safe, controlled infusion and sampling.

Caution & Storage

Caution: For single use only. Do not reuse or resterilize. Inspect packaging prior to use; do not use if sterile barrier is damaged or expired. Use only by trained healthcare personnel. Follow facility protocols for handling sharps and disposing of biohazardous waste. Contraindications include signs of local infection, thrombosis at the intended site, or known allergies to device materials.

Storage: Store in original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep between recommended temperatures as noted by manufacturer and do not freeze. Keep out of reach of unauthorized personnel. Dispose of opened or unused catheters according to local regulations.
