Ingredients and Materials
Sterile single-use assembly: radiopaque polyurethane catheter (biocompatible), stainless steel introducer/needle, colour-coded hub (orange) indicating 14G size, protective sterile packaging. Designed for intravenous access and compatibility with standard luer connectors.
How to Use
Intended for qualified healthcare professionals. Use aseptic technique: select appropriate venous site, prepare skin with antiseptic, use tourniquet as required. Insert introducer needle and advance catheter into vein, then withdraw the needle while advancing the catheter. Confirm flashback, secure catheter with dressing, flush with saline, and confirm patency. For radiographic confirmation, catheter is radiopaque for x-ray visibility. Dispose of needle and packaging in appropriate sharps and clinical waste containers.
Who It’s For
Designed for clinicians and trained medical staff in emergency medicine, critical care, anaesthesia, surgery, pre-hospital care and wards requiring large-bore IV access. Ideal for rapid fluid administration, blood transfusions, contrast delivery (as indicated), and situations that demand high-flow vascular access.
Caution & Storage
For single-use only. Do not reuse, reprocess, or resterilize. Inspect sterile packaging prior to use and do not use if damaged or if expiry date has passed. Use with standard precautions for invasive devices. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extremes of temperature. Follow local protocols for disposal of clinical waste and sharps. Consult product instructions supplied by manufacturer and institutional policies for contraindications and detailed safety information.
