Introcan W FEP 22G x 25mm — Blue IV Cannula (Single Unit)

The Introcan W FEP 22G x 25mm is a sterile, single-use peripheral IV cannula designed for smooth insertion and reliable intravenous access. Featuring a FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) catheter for reduced friction, a precision stainless steel needle and a colour-coded blue hub for easy gauge identification, this 22G cannula is ideal for infusion, medication administration and blood sampling in hospitals, clinics and emergency settings.

Key Benefits

  • Reliable peripheral intravenous access — designed for consistent, secure cannulation.
  • Smooth insertion — FEP catheter reduces friction and patient discomfort during placement.
  • Colour-coded 22G blue hub for quick gauge identification and workflow efficiency.
  • Sterile, single-use design lowers infection risk and meets clinical safety standards.
  • Versatile use — suitable for infusion, medication delivery and blood sampling.
  • Compact 25mm length ideal for peripheral veins in adults and older children.
Ingredients and Materials

Catheter: FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) — low-friction, biocompatible fluoropolymer. Needle: medical-grade stainless steel for sharp, reliable venepuncture. Hub and components: medical-grade polymers designed for secure connection and color-coding. All components are produced and assembled under sterile conditions for single-use clinical applications.

How to Use
  1. Confirm patient identity and indication for IV access. Follow facility aseptic protocol and hand hygiene.
  2. Select an appropriate vein and apply tourniquet. Clean the puncture site with recommended antiseptic and allow to dry.
  3. Remove the cannula from sterile packaging. Stabilise the vein and insert at the recommended angle until flashback is observed.
  4. Advance the catheter, withdraw the needle, secure the hub and apply dressing. Flush per local protocol to confirm patency.
  5. Label the site, document gauge and length (22G x 25mm), and monitor for signs of infiltration, phlebitis or infection.
  6. Dispose of the needle and cannula packaging as regulated clinical waste. Single-use only — do not reuse.
Who Its For

Designed for healthcare professionals including nurses, anaesthetists, paramedics and clinicians in hospitals, emergency departments, outpatient clinics and ambulatory care. Suitable for adult and paediatric patients where a 22G x 25mm peripheral IV catheter is indicated.
