How to Use
- Confirm product integrity and expiry. Only use if packaging is intact.
- Prepare the patient and select an appropriate peripheral vein using aseptic technique.
- Insert the cannula needle assembly into the vein at the recommended angle until blood return is seen.
- Advance the FEP catheter into the vein while withdrawing the needle, then dispose of the needle in a sharps container.
- Secure the cannula with dressing, connect to standard IV tubing or luer-compatible devices, and flush to confirm patency.
- Monitor the site for signs of infiltration, phlebitis or infection and replace according to local protocol.
