Inadine Wound Dressing 5 x 5cm 25 Pack
Inadine Wound Dressing 5 x 5cm – 25 Pack
Inadine is a sterile, non‑adherent povidone‑iodine wound dressing designed to provide broad‑spectrum antimicrobial protection and gentle contact with wounds. Supplied as 25 sterile 5 x 5cm dressings, Inadine is ideal for burns, donor sites, infected wounds and surgical wound management where an iodine dressing is indicated.
Key benefits
- Antimicrobial action: povidone‑iodine impregnated dressing provides effective topical antisepsis against bacteria, fungi and some viruses.
- Non‑adherent contact layer: knitted viscose carrier minimises trauma and pain at dressing changes.
- Versatile clinical use: suitable for burns, donor sites, infected and exuding wounds, and post‑operative wound care.
- Convenient sterile packs: 25 pre‑cut 5 x 5cm dressings ideal for clinics, hospitals and first aid kits.
- Easy to apply: cut to size if required and use under a secondary dressing for best results.
Ingredients and Materials
Each dressing is a knitted viscose gauze carrier impregnated with povidone‑iodine solution (commonly supplied as a 10% povidone‑iodine formulation). The dressing is sterile and non‑adherent to wound surfaces. No added gels or occlusive films—designed as a contact antiseptic dressing.
How to Use
- Perform standard wound cleansing and hand hygiene before application.
- Remove dressing from sterile packaging and place the Inadine dressing directly onto the wound with the impregnated surface in contact with the wound bed.
- Cut to size if necessary. For deeper wounds, fold to conform but avoid packing tightly.
- Apply an appropriate secondary dressing (absorbent pad and fixation) to manage exudate and secure the dressing.
- Change frequency: typically every 24–72 hours depending on wound exudate, clinical condition and local policy. More frequent changes may be required for heavily exuding or acutely infected wounds.
- Dispose of used dressings as clinical waste in accordance with local regulations.
