Hydrocoll Thick with Border combines a gel-forming hydrocolloid matrix (commonly consisting of sodium carboxymethylcellulose, pectin and gelatin) with an integrated adhesive hydrocolloid border and a protective outer film (polyurethane). The dressing includes a release liner for sterile application. Materials: hydrocolloid absorbent layer, adhesive border, breathable waterproof backing film, release liner.
How to Use
- Clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin according to local clinical guidelines.
- Remove the release liner. Position the Hydrocoll dressing so the wound is centered on the dressing pad.
- Smooth the adhesive border onto intact surrounding skin to ensure a secure seal—avoid stretching the dressing.
- Regularly inspect the dressing for saturation, leakage or signs of infection. Change dressing when exudate reaches the edge of the dressing or per local protocol (typically up to 7 days for low-exudating wounds).
- Discard after single use. To remove, gently lift an edge and peel back slowly in the direction of hair growth to minimise trauma.

Caution & Storage
Caution: For single use only. Do not use on heavily bleeding wounds, third-degree burns, or clinically infected wounds unless directed by a clinician. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep in original packaging until use. Check expiry date—do not use if packaging is damaged or opened.
