- Highly absorbent padding manages exudate, helping maintain a cleaner wound environment and reduce contamination risk.
- Soft, breathable material promotes comfort and supports healing while preventing maceration.
- Suitable for first aid, emergency care, clinics, hospitals and home wound management.
Ingredients and Materials
This product is a sterile, non-adhesive wound dressing roll composed of an absorbent inner pad and a soft, non-woven outer covering. The dressing is made from highly absorbent fibres (cotton or viscose blend) with a breathable, non-adhesive surface. The dressing is latex-free and manufactured under sterile conditions to meet first aid and clinical standards. Always check the product packaging for specific material declarations and batch sterility information.
How to Use
- Wash hands and open the sterile package carefully. Inspect integrity of the packaging—do not use if package is damaged.
- Measure and cut a length of dressing from the 2m roll to fully cover the wound with an adequate margin.
- Place the non-adhesive pad gently over the wound so the absorbent side contacts the wound bed.
- Secure the dressing with tape, bandage or conforming wrap—ensure it is snug but not constrictive.
- Change dressing as recommended by clinical guidelines or when saturated. Dispose of used dressing as clinical waste where required.
Who It’s For
Hi-Care First Aid Dressing No.5 is suitable for first aid responders, paramedics, clinics, hospitals, sports trainers, employers stocking workplace first aid kits, and home caregivers. It is appropriate for managing minor to moderate exuding wounds, burns, abrasions and postoperative dressings where a non-adhesive, sterile contact layer is required.
Caution & Storage
Use sterile dressings once only—do not reuse. Do not apply to heavily bleeding arterial wounds without professional care. Consult a healthcare professional for deep, infected, or heavily exuding wounds. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Check expiry date and do not use if sterile packaging is compromised. Keep out of reach of children.
