Costiway Minibore Paed Iv Short Line
Costiway Minibore Paed IV Short Line (Return)
The Costiway Minibore Paed IV Short Line is a purpose-built pediatric extension designed for safe, accurate and low-volume intravenous therapy. Featuring a mini-bore lumen and an integrated return valve, this short line minimizes dead space and blood reflux while providing secure luer-lock and needleless access for neonatal and pediatric infusions.
Key Benefits
- Low dead-space mini-bore design reduces priming volume and medication waste, ideal for neonatal and pediatric dosing.
- Integrated return (anti-reflux) valve prevents backflow and helps reduce blood reflux during connection and disconnection.
- Needleless connector and secure luer-lock compatibility lower needlestick risk and support safe, closed-system access.
- Short, flexible tubing with clear, kink-resistant construction improves patient comfort and allows quick visual flow checks.
- Sterile, single-use device designed for consistent infusion performance in clinical and ambulatory pediatric settings.
Ingredients and Materials
Medical-grade, biocompatible materials typical of pediatric IV extension sets: PVC or thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) tubing (latex-free), polycarbonate or polypropylene connectors, silicone or EPDM seals for valves, and a needleless polymer connector. Device is supplied sterile and for single patient use.
How to Use
1. Verify sterile packaging & expiry before use. 2. Attach the short line to the cannula hub using the luer-lock connection. 3. Prime the line with appropriate flush solution to remove air. 4. Use the needleless connector or injection port for medication administration. 5. Flush before and after medication administration and clamp when not in use. 6. Dispose of the device after single patient use following institutional infection control and sharps policies.
Who It’s For
