Clinihealth First Aid Dressing No.5 - Pad Size 120mm x 160mm

Clinihealth First Aid Dressing No.5 is a sterile, high-absorbency wound dressing pad (120 x 160 mm) designed for first aid, emergency response, clinical and home wound care. This single-use sterile dressing provides reliable protection, gentle contact with skin and effective exudate management for minor to moderate wounds, cuts, abrasions and post-procedural sites.

Key Benefits

  • Sterile and single-use – reduces contamination risk and supports safe wound management.
  • High-absorbency pad – efficiently manages moderate exudate to keep wounds cleaner and drier.
  • Non-adherent contact layer – minimises trauma and pain at dressing changes.
  • Breathable backing – supports moisture balance while protecting the wound from external contaminants.
  • Versatile size (120 x 160 mm) – suitable for a wide range of wounds, emergency first aid kits, clinics and surgical dressings.
  • Easy to apply – convenient individual sterile packaging for rapid use in emergency and clinical settings.
Ingredients and Materials

This sterile dressing typically comprises a soft, absorbent cotton or cellulose pad with a non-adherent contact layer, a breathable non-woven outer cover and a protective polyethylene film or paper wrapper. Materials are chosen for biocompatibility and to reduce skin irritation. Product composition: sterile absorbent core (cotton/cellulose), non-adherent wound contact layer (non-woven), breathable backing and sterile packaging.

How to Use
  1. Wash hands and wear gloves if available. Clean the wound with an appropriate antiseptic or saline solution and gently dry surrounding skin.
  2. Open the sterile pack, avoiding contamination of the dressing surface.
  3. Place the absorbent pad directly over the wound so the non-adherent layer contacts the wound bed.
  4. Secure dressing with adhesive tape, bandage or conforming wrap. Ensure the dressing is held firmly but not too tight to impair circulation.
  5. Change dressing when saturated, contaminated or as advised by a healthcare professional. Dispose of used dressings as clinical waste where applicable.
Who It’s For

Ideal for first aid responders, ambulance and emergency personnel, clinics, hospitals, occupational health, sports trainers and households. Suitable for anyone needing a reliable sterile dressing for cuts, abrasions, post-surgical sites, donor sites and other minor to moderate wounds requiring absorbent, non-adherent wound protection.

Caution & Storage

Single-use sterile product — do not re-sterilise or reuse. Do not use if the outer packaging is damaged or the sterile seal is broken. Seek medical attention for deep, heavily bleeding, contaminated or infected wounds. Discontinue use if signs of allergy or irritation occur. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep out of reach of children.
