Akacia Airway Guedel Size 2 β€” Green

The Akacia Airway Guedel Size 2 (Green) is a color-coded oropharyngeal airway designed to maintain a clear airway during emergency care, anesthesia and resuscitation. Made for reliable airway management, this Size 2 Guedel airway offers fast identification, smooth insertion and dependable performance for clinical and pre-hospital use.

Key Benefits

  • Immediate size identification: green color-coding for quick selection in emergencies.
  • Reliable airway patency: anatomically contoured to prevent tongue obstruction and maintain ventilation.
  • Medical-grade construction: smooth surface for atraumatic insertion and patient comfort.
  • Single-use disposable design: reduces cross-contamination risk and simplifies infection control.
  • Versatile clinical use: suitable for emergency medical services, anesthesia, CPR and resuscitation settings.
Ingredients and Materials

Construction: medical-grade, latex-free PVC (polyvinyl chloride) formulated for oropharyngeal airways. BPA-free and manufactured to meet clinical single-use device standards. Color-coded green for Size 2 for rapid visual identification.

How to Use
  1. Confirm the patient is unconscious and has no gag reflex β€” oropharyngeal airways are contraindicated in conscious patients with an intact gag reflex.
  2. Select correct size: measure from the corner of the mouth to the angle of the mandible (or earlobe) to confirm Size 2 is appropriate.
  3. Open the mouth using a jaw-thrust or chin-lift as needed. Insert the airway following the natural curvature of the tongue.
  4. Advance until the flange rests against the lips. For some patients, a 180Β° rotation technique (insert with tip upward, then rotate) can reduce tongue displacement β€” use the method trained for in your protocol.
  5. Confirm patency by observing chest rise with ventilation and listening for breath sounds. Secure and monitor continuously.
  6. Dispose after single use according to local biohazard regulations.
Who It’s For

Designed for emergency responders, paramedics, anesthesiologists, perioperative teams, hospital emergency departments, intensive care units, first aid and resuscitation training providers. Ideal for clinicians and caregivers who need a reliable, color-coded airway adjunct for pediatric/small-patient airway management where Size 2 is indicated.
