Ingredients and Materials
The Adaptic Digit Dressing Large features a knitted contact layer impregnated with medical‑grade petrolatum (soft paraffin). The contact layer is non‑adherent to new and granulating tissue, allowing atraumatic dressing removal. The dressing is supplied sterile in protective packaging. Materials are chosen for breathability, conformance and gentle wound contact.
How to Use
- Perform hand hygiene and cleanse the wound according to local protocol.
- Select the Adaptic Digit Dressing Large (MAD023) and open the sterile packaging carefully.
- Place the petrolatum‑impregnated side directly onto the wound ensuring full contact.
- Secure with a compatible secondary dressing or appropriate finger dressing tape/bandage.
- Change the secondary dressing as necessary; replace the Adaptic contact layer according to clinical guidance or if soiled.
- Discard after single use. Do not reuse or re‑sterilise.

Caution & Storage
For external use only. Do not apply to heavily bleeding wounds or deep, tunnelling wounds without clinical assessment. Do not use if you have a known allergy to petrolatum or any component of the dressing. If signs of infection (increased pain, redness, swelling, purulent discharge) occur, seek medical advice. Single‑use sterile product — do not use if packaging is damaged. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Observe expiry date.
