Product Features and Materials

The T-shaped design supports handling. The needle enclosed by the sterility cap is sterilised by gamma irradiation. The device contains no latex, phthalates or polyvinyl chloride.

How to Use
  • For a child younger than 1 year, obtain capillary blood from a lateral area of the heel. Keep the foot vertical to the floor and puncture vertically to the sole.
  • If needed, improve blood flow at the heel using a warm, moist cloth at no more than 42°C. Wash the heel with warm water and soap, rinse it thoroughly, disinfect it with an alcohol wipe and let it dry completely.
  • For children aged 1 year or older and adults, obtain capillary blood from the side of any fingertip. Wash the hands with warm water and soap, rinse thoroughly and let them dry completely. If an alcohol wipe is also used, let the finger dry completely.
  • Twist the sterility cap one quarter turn and remove it.
  • Hold the device between the index finger, middle finger and thumb. Press it firmly against the selected site, then press the release button fully.
  • Wait for a blood drop to emerge. Gently massage the finger towards the fingertip or apply slight pressure to the heel if needed, then remove the device.
