3M Steri-Strip R1540 features a porous, non-woven backing with a medical-grade, hypoallergenic acrylic adhesive. The strips are sterile and intended for single use. No analgesics or active pharmacological agents are included — the product functions as an adhesive mechanical skin closure.

Product specifications: 3 mm x 75 mm per strip; pack quantity: 5 sterile strips. Colour: natural skin tone.

1. Clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin; remove any gross contamination and control bleeding.
2. Open sterile package and handle strips by the tabs. Approximate wound edges with gloved hands or forceps.
3. Apply first strip across the wound, 1–2 mm from the wound edge, and smooth down without stretching the strip across the skin.
4. Place additional strips at 3–6 mm intervals until the wound is closed. Do not place strips over active infection or heavily bleeding wounds.
5. Leave strips in place until they peel off naturally (typically 5–10 days) or as advised by a clinician.

For wound care: keep dry where possible, monitor for signs of infection (increasing pain, redness, swelling or discharge). Seek professional medical advice for deep, gaping or infected wounds.

3M Steri-Strip R1540 is suitable for first responders, clinicians, nurses and home users who need a sterile, easy-to-apply option for closing low-tension wounds and reinforcing sutures. Ideal for minor lacerations, superficial surgical incisions, pediatric and adult wound care where non-invasive skin closure is preferred.
