1. Prepare patient with appropriate stockinette and padding — never apply tape directly to unprotected skin.
2. Cut the 10.1 cm strips to required lengths from the 3.6 m roll.
3. Briefly immerse the strip in clean, room-temperature water and gently squeeze out excess water until the resin layer is evenly damp (avoid soaking for extended periods).
4. Apply the activated tape with overlapping layers, smooth and mold to the desired contour. Typical working time is short — apply briskly.
5. Allow initial set. Setting times vary with temperature and humidity; handle per 3M clinical guidance until fully cured (partial set in minutes, firm cure within 10–15 minutes depending on conditions).
6. Trim and finish edges; educate patient on cast care and follow-up instructions.
