Solventum 3M Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film Spray 28ml 3346 E Creates a long-lasting waterproof film on intact or damaged skin. It helps protect skin from irritation caused by body fluids, wound drainage, adhesive products, friction and shear.
Key Benefits
- Provides up to 72 hours of protection against moisture-associated skin damage.
- Forms a transparent, breathable film that keeps the treated skin visible.
- Alcohol-free, non-sting formulation for intact or damaged skin.
- Dries quickly without leaving a sticky coating.
- Flexes with skin contours, bends and creases.
Ingredients
Hexamethyldisiloxane, isooctane, acrylate terpolymer, polyphenylmethylsiloxane.
How to Use
- Apply to clean, dry skin.
- Hold the spray nozzle 10-15cm from the skin and apply a smooth, even coating over the required area.
- If an area is missed, wait until the first application has dried, approximately 30 seconds, before applying to that area.
- If exposure to caustic irritants is expected, a second coating may be applied after the first has dried completely.
- Where skin surfaces touch, keep them separated until the film has dried completely.
- Allow the film to dry completely before applying dressings, tapes or other adhesive products. Reapply whenever the adhesive dressing or product is changed.
- When protecting against body fluids without an adhesive product, reapply every 24-72 hours according to the frequency of cleansing. Application every 12-24 hours may be needed when cleansing is very frequent.
- If removal is required, use a medical adhesive remover as directed. Clean and dry the area before reapplying the film.
- Replace the cap over the spray nozzle when it is not in use.
Who It's For
For people who need a protective barrier on skin exposed to moisture, friction, shear or adhesive products, including skin around stomas, tracheostomies and wounds. It may also be used under adhesive dressings, tapes, ostomy barriers and other adhesive devices.
