Ingredients and Materials
The FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensor contains a small flexible sensing filament that rests just under the skin, a plastic sensor housing, integrated electronics and a medical-grade adhesive patch. The sensor is single-use and disposable after a 14-day wear period. How to Use
- Clean and dry the back of your upper arm. Follow the manufacturer instructions for site selection.
- Apply the sensor applicator to the chosen site and press to attach the sensor patch and insert the sensing filament beneath the skin.
- Start the sensor with your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or the LibreLink app. Allow the warm-up period as indicated in the instructions for use.
- Scan the sensor with the reader or smartphone to get a current glucose reading, trend arrow and historical data. To capture a continuous record, scan at least every 8 hours.
- Wear the sensor for up to 14 days, then replace with a new sensor. Dispose of used sensors per local regulations.
