Each Priva Cholesterol Strip contains a reagent matrix with cholesterol-specific enzymes (cholesterol esterase and cholesterol oxidase), a peroxidase indicator system and an electron mediator on a polymer/plastic substrate with integrated electrodes. Materials are designed for accurate electrochemical measurement. For full reagent composition consult packaging insert. These strips are single-use and sterile until opened.

1. Wash and dry hands thoroughly. Prepare your Priva cholesterol meter and a new Priva Cholesterol Strip.
2. Insert a strip into the meter until it locks and the meter is ready.
3. Use a sterile lancet to obtain a fingerstick blood drop. Apply the blood drop to the sample area of the strip as directed by your meter instructions.
4. Wait for the meter to display the total cholesterol result (follow meter-specific time indicated in the user manual).
5. Discard the used strip and lancet safely. Record results or share with your healthcare provider if needed.

Always follow the instructions in your Priva meter user manual. For best accuracy, use strips at room temperature and within the expiration date.
