Apply Biotaine liberally to the skin area using a sterile swab or gauze, working from the centre outward in concentric circles for surgical prep or catheter sites. Allow the solution to dry completely (do not blot) — typically 30–60 seconds; for full antiseptic effect, follow local protocol (often up to 2 minutes for surgical site prep). For hand antisepsis, apply and rub until dry. Do not use on deep puncture wounds, serious burns, or mucous membranes unless specified by clinical guidance.
