Adaptic Digit Dressing X-Large 1 Unit
Adaptic Digit Dressing X-Large — Sterile Non-Adherent Digit Dressing
Adaptic Digit Dressing X-Large is a sterile, non-adherent primary contact layer designed specifically for digits (fingers and toes). The loosely woven, soft mesh minimizes trauma at dressing changes while allowing exudate to pass through to a secondary absorbent dressing — ideal for skin grafts, burns, cuts, donor sites and post-operative digit care.
Key Benefits
- Non-adherent contact layer reduces pain and tissue damage during dressing changes
- Open-weave mesh permits exudate transfer and promotes moist wound healing
- Pre-shaped for digits—secure, comfortable fit for fingers and toes
- Sterile, single-use unit helps lower infection risk
- Compatible with secondary dressings and common fixation methods
- Ideal for graft protection, skin tears, minor burns and surgical wounds on digits
Ingredients and Materials
Adaptic dressings are made from a soft, loosely woven cellulose acetate mesh impregnated with a non-adherent petrolatum/paraffin emulsion to create a low-adherent wound contact layer. The materials are breathable and allow exudate to pass through to a secondary dressing. Sterile, single-use packaging.
How to Use
- Clean and dry the wound area following local clinical protocols.
- Open sterile pack and apply the Adaptic Digit Dressing with the contact mesh directly over the wound.
- Apply an appropriate secondary absorbent dressing and secure with tape, bandage or tubular retention as needed.
- Change secondary dressing as required; Adaptic may be left in place if clinically appropriate and replaced if soiled or saturated.
- Do not attempt to re-sterilize. Single-use only.
Who It’s For
Suitable for healthcare professionals, caregivers and patients managing digit wounds, including:
- Post-operative finger or toe care
- Skin graft donor/recipient sites on digits
- Minor burns, abrasions and cuts
- Skin tears and fragile or sensitive skin where atraumatic dressing changes are required
Caution & Storage
For external use only. Do not use if packaging is damaged or seal is broken. Single-use sterile product — discard after use. If heavy infection is present, consult a clinician before use. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Follow local clinical guidelines for wound management and disposal.
