BD Venflon Pro 22G x 25mm - Blue (1 Unit)

BD Venflon Pro 22G x 25mm is a sterile, single-use peripheral IV catheter designed for reliable venous access and efficient infusion therapy. Colour-coded blue for easy gauge identification, this 22-gauge cannula delivers smooth catheter advancement and clear flashback to help healthcare professionals achieve quick, safe peripheral IV insertion in hospitals, clinics and emergency settings.

Key Benefits

  • 22G x 25mm size — versatile for adult and pediatric peripheral IV access and routine infusions.
  • Colour-coded blue hub for rapid gauge identification and inventory management.
  • Sterile, single-use design reduces infection risk when used with aseptic technique.
  • Clear flashback for fast confirmation of venous entry and reduced insertion attempts.
  • Slim, atraumatic catheter profile for improved patient comfort and stable infusion therapy.
Ingredients and Materials

Sterile, single-use components: medical-grade catheter material (e.g., polyurethane/fluoropolymer or Teflon®-type material), stainless-steel introducer needle with beveled tip, molded plastic hub and colour-coded cap. Latex-free and PVC-free materials where specified by the manufacturer. Individually packaged in sterile barrier packaging.

How to Use
  1. Only trained healthcare professionals should perform peripheral IV insertion using aseptic technique.
  2. Verify product integrity and expiry; open sterile package when ready to use.
  3. Prepare the insertion site with appropriate skin antisepsis and allow to dry.
  4. Stabilize the vein, insert the needle/cannula bevel-up until flashback is observed, then advance the catheter into the vein.
  5. Withdraw the needle, secure the catheter with dressing and connect to IV tubing or cap as required.
  6. Monitor insertion site for patency, infiltration, phlebitis or infection per local protocol.
Who It’s For

Intended for healthcare professionals and facilities requiring peripheral venous access: hospitals, emergency departments, surgical wards, outpatient clinics, infusion centres and paramedic services. Suitable for adult and pediatric patients when clinically indicated for IV therapy, medication administration, fluids and blood sampling depending on clinical assessment.

Caution & Storage

Caution: For single-use only. Do not reuse or resterilize. Inspect packaging; do not use if the sterile barrier is damaged or expired. Use only by trained personnel following local infection control and sharps disposal guidelines. Monitor patient for complications (infection, infiltration, thrombosis).

Storage: Store in original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extremes of temperature. Dispose of needle and catheter components in approved sharps containers after use.
