What is Microlax 5ml?

Microlax is a fast-acting microenema that's gentle to use, predictable, and offers effective constipation relief. It is available in a convenient, easy to use simple microenema, it acts locally in the rectum to target the main source of discomfort and won't upset the rest of your digestive system.

How to use:

  • Twist and pull the seal off the nozzle.
  • Squeeze the tube slightly so that a drop of MICROLAX® solution appears at the tip in order to provide lubrication for easier insertion. For children under 3 years of age, only half the length of the nozzle should be inserted into the rectum (as indicated on the nozzle).
  • Gently squeeze the full contents of the tube (5 ml) into the rectum.
  • Remove tube neck from the rectum, keeping the tube compressed. Slightly tense your buttocks to prevent the solution running out and throw the used microenema away. 
  • Within 5-15 minutes of application, you should be able to gently empty your bowels without suffering the unwanted effects other laxatives can bring. 

After use, dispose of the microenema – so easy and hygienic.

  • Sodium citrate - 90 mg
  • Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate 70 % - 12,9 mg
  • Sorbitol solution - 893 mg
