Ingredients and Materials
This Medac Instant Cold Pack contains an inner water pouch and an endothermic salt pouch inside a durable outer film. The chemical core is a crystalline endothermic salt commonly used in disposable cold packs (eg, ammonium nitrate or similar urea-based compounds). Outer materials are polyethylene/PVC-based film to provide puncture resistance. Product is non-sterile and intended for external use only.
How to Use
- Inspect pack: ensure outer pouch is intact and within expiry.
- Activate: firmly squeeze/strike the pack to rupture the inner water pouch so it mixes with the chemical core.
- Shake gently to distribute the cold evenly.
- Apply to the injured area through a thin cloth or towel — do not apply directly to bare skin.
- Use for up to 20 minutes. Remove and wait 10–15 minutes before reapplying if further cold therapy is needed.
- Dispose of the pack after single use according to local waste regulations.
Who It’s For
Ideal for athletes, coaches, trainers, sports clubs, school sports programs, workplace first aid, travel kits and home first aid. Suitable for anyone needing portable, immediate cold therapy for acute soft-tissue injuries such as sprains, strains, contusions and swelling.
Caution & Storage
External use only. Do not puncture or open the outer pouch except to activate. Avoid direct contact with skin — always use a barrier cloth to prevent frostbite or skin irritation. Do not use on open wounds or on persons with impaired circulation, compromised sensation, or poor skin condition. If you have diabetes or vascular disease, consult a healthcare professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. After use, dispose of the pack in general waste per local regulations. In case of accidental ingestion or contact with eyes, seek medical advice and show the product packaging when possible.
