What is Solgar Rutin?

Rutin is an important, non-citrus, antioxidant bioflavonoid. Flavonoids are a group of water-soluble plant pigments found naturally in many foods. Rutin shares some similar beneficial properties with Vitamin C.  As an antioxidant, Rutin helps fight free radicals in the body. Free radicals can cause oxidative stress which may damage cells.

Solgar Rutin 500 mg Tablets are a citrus bioflavonoid found in various plants including citrus fruit. It is a potent phytochemical, derived from Japanese Sophora.

The Japanese Sophora is a tree native to China and Japan. It has been used throughout history in traditional Chinese medicine as its fruits are a rich source of bioflavonoids. Bioflavonoids are present in almost all fruits, vegetables and herbs, and are classified as phytochemicals.

How to use:

As a dietary supplement for adults, take one (1) tablet one to two times daily, preferably with meals or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
