Ingredients and Materials
Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel blade and medical-grade polymer handle, supplied sterile in a sealed peel pouch. Sterilisation method: ethylene oxide or equivalent medical sterilisation process. Packaging designed for clinical storage and transport.
How to Use
- Perform standard aseptic preparation of the biopsy site and administer local anaesthetic as required.
- Select the biopsy site and stabilise the skin. Position the 4mm biopsy punch perpendicular to the surface.
- Apply gentle downward pressure and rotate the punch to the level of the subcutaneous fat to obtain a full-thickness core.
- Remove the punch, grasp the tissue core with forceps and sever the base with scissors or scalpel.
- Place the tissue sample in appropriate fixative (e.g., formalin) and label for pathology. Manage hemostasis and close the wound per clinical protocol.
