1. Prepare the site using standard aseptic technique and local anesthesia.
2. Stretch the skin taut and position the punch perpendicular to the lesion.
3. Apply gentle, steady downward pressure and rotate the punch to cut through the epidermis and dermis.
4. Once the tissue core is freed, lift with forceps and trim the base if required before placing in fixative for histopathology.
5. Close the defect using appropriate suturing or adhesive techniques per clinical guidelines.
