BSN Cutimed Gel is an aqueous-based, sterile amorphous hydrogel formulation produced by BSN Medical. The primary component is a water-based hydrogel designed to hydrate dry wound beds. How to Use
1. Cleanse the wound with an appropriate wound cleanser and pat dry surrounding skin.
2. Apply Cutimed Gel directly to the wound bed in a thin layer or to fill cavities as clinically indicated.
3. Cover with a compatible secondary dressing (film, foam or gauze) and secure.
4. Change dressing as directed by a clinician—typically every 24–72 hours or when dressing becomes saturated. Monitor wound progress regularly.
Who It's For
BSN Cutimed Gel is intended for patients with dry, sloughy or necrotic wounds that benefit from moisture, including superficial burns, donor sites, pressure ulcers (stages I–III), and post-operative wounds. Not typically indicated for heavily exuding wounds unless combined with an absorptive secondary dressing.
Caution & Storage
For external use only. Do not apply to heavily infected wounds without clinical supervision. If increased pain, redness, swelling or signs of infection occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice. Keep product sterile—do not touch the applicator tip to any surface. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
