What is Nestle Nan Stage 1 Pelargon Starter Infant Formula?

Nestle Nan Pelargon Stage 1 Acidified Starter Infant Formula 900g should only be used on the advice of a healthcare professional and does not contain breast milk. Remember, breast milk is best for your baby.

How to use:

 

Feeding table:

(Age of infant) - (previously boiled water in ml) - (quantity per feed number of measuring scoops) - (no. of feeds per day) - (no. of feeds per day other foods):

1st and 2nd weeks - 100ml - 4 scoops- 6 feeds  --.

3rd and 4th weeks - 125ml - 5 scoops- 5 feeds  --.

1 month - 150ml - 6 scoops - 5 feeds  --.

2 and 3 months - 175ml - 7 scoops - 5 feeds  --.

4 and 5 months - 200ml - 8 scoops - 5 feeds  --.

6 months - 200ml - 8 scoops - 4-3 - 1-2 other foods

To maintain the number of living cultures, the boiled water must be cooled down to about body temperature before adding the powder. Note: use only the enclosed scoop and ensure scoop is dry before and after use. Using more or less powder than indicated will either lead to dehydration or deprive your baby of the proper nutrition. Do not change proportions without medical advice. At this age it is often recommended to gradually introduce cereals and progressively vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. Since individual needs vary, ask your healthcare professional for advice.

Preparation:

  1. Wash your hands before preparing baby's formula.
  2. Wash bottle, teat and cap or cup and spoon thoroughly until no milk remains.
  3. Boil for 5 minutes. Leave covered until use.
  4. Boil drinking water for 5 minutes, allow cooling.
  5. Consult feeding table; pour the exact amount of safe, drinkable, previously boiled, lukewarm water into sterilised bottle or cup.
  6. Only use scoop** (must be level) provided.
  7. Consult feeding table, add an exact number of scoops for age of the baby.
  8. Shake bottle or stir cup with sterilised spoon until powder is fully dissolved.
  9. Close tin tightly after each use.

Store in a cool dry place. Use within 3 weeks after opening.
