Nestle Nan Stage 1 Starter Infant Formula 900g is perfect for babies from birth up to 6 months old. Remember, breastmilk is the best food for babies.

How to use:

This product shall only be used on the advice of a healthcare professional. This product is not always sterile. It must be prepared and used appropriately.

Feeding table: Quantity per feed:

(Age of infant) - (previously boiled water in ml) - (number of measuring scoops) - (No. of feeds per day)- (other foods)

1st and 2nd weeks - 100ml - 4 scoops- 6 feeds -

3rd and 4th weeks - 125ml - 5 scoops - 5 feeds -

1 month - 150ml - 6 scoops -5 feeds  -

3 months - 175ml - 7 scoops -5 feeds -

5 months - 200ml -8 scoops - 4 feeds - 3 other foods

6 months - 200ml - 8 scoops - 1feed -2 other foods                   

To maintain the number of living cultures, the boiled water must be cooled down to about body temperature before adding the powder. Note: use only the enclosed scoop. Using more or less powder than indicated will either lead to dehydration or deprive your baby of the proper nutrition. Do not change proportions without medical advice. At 5-6 months it is often recommended to gradually introduce cereals and progressively vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. Since individual needs vary, ask your healthcare professional for advice.

Preparation:

1. Wash your hands before preparing baby's formula.
2. Wash bottle, teat and cap or cup and spoon thoroughly until no milk remains.
3. Boil for 5 minutes. Leave covered until use.
4. Boil drinking water for 5 minutes, allow cooling.
5. Consult feeding table; pour the exact amount of safe, drinkable, previously boiled, lukewarm water into sterilised bottle or cup.
6. Only use scoop (must be level) provided.
7. Consult feeding table, add the exact number of scoops for age of the baby.
8. Shake bottle or stir cup with a sterilised spoon until powder is fully dissolved.
9. Close tin tightly after each use.

Use within 3 weeks of opening.
