A.Vogel Echinaforce Oral Drops 30ml A herbal medicine in oral drop form used for prevention and treatment when colds, flu or respiratory tract infections cause symptoms, including recurring respiratory infections.

Organically cultivated Echinacea purpurea is processed fresh within 24 hours after harvest. The extract blend is made with 95% above-ground plant material and 5% root.

Ingredients

Each 1ml contains 860mg of a 1:12 extract from fresh Echinacea purpurea aerial parts, equivalent to 72mg dry plant material. It also contains 45mg of a 1:11 extract from fresh Echinacea purpurea root, equivalent to 4.1mg dry plant material. Other ingredients are purified water and more than 50% v/v alcohol. Sugar free.

How to Use
  • For oral use only. Dilute the drops in a small amount of water before taking them.
  • For prevention during periods of increased infection risk: adults and children over 12 years, take 20 drops up to 3 times daily; children 4 to 12 years, take 10 drops up to 3 times daily; children 1 to 4 years, take 1 drop for each year of age up to 3 times daily.
  • For acute treatment, begin at the first signs of symptoms: adults and children over 12 years, take 20 drops 5 times daily; children 4 to 12 years, take 10 drops 5 times daily; children 1 to 4 years, take 1 drop for each year of age 5 times daily.

Caution & Storage
  • Do not give to children younger than 1 year.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to Echinacea, any plant in the Asteraceae family or any other ingredient.
  • Do not use if you have a progressive systemic disorder, autoimmune disease, immunosuppression or a disease of the white blood cell system. Do not use with immunosuppressant medicines.
  • People with atopic conditions should consult a doctor before use because Echinacea can trigger allergic reactions.
  • The frequency of allergic reactions is not known. Reported reactions include rash, hives, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, skin swelling, bronchospasm, asthma and anaphylactic shock.
  • Consult a doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional if severe symptoms persist for more than 10 days, symptoms worsen or a high fever occurs.
  • The drops contain more than 50% v/v alcohol. Use with caution if you are sensitive or intolerant to alcohol.
  • In sensitive people, the alcohol content may affect alertness, judgement, coordination or vision. It may also affect learning, physical activity, appetite or sleep.
  • Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only under a doctor's supervision and recommendation.
  • Store at or below 25°C in the original package or container. Use within 4 months after opening.
